or something like that! We had a super girly playdate on Tuesday and had tons of fun. Ever wonder what it sounds like when you get two 3 year old girls together?
I keep meaning to share this video of katie at ballet. This was a make up day and there were only 3 girls in the class. If anyone is interested in a great dance studio they have lots of room in their thursday 3/4 year old class at NHPA!
Friday we went to the park so I could take some 18 month pics of sweet little Bry and captured a few of the kiddos playing as well...
I would never let my children play outside in their pajamas...
I swear we don't highlight her hair....but if I could have a dollar for everyone that says that people pay good money for her color/colors I'd be rich!
The blog has been all about a certain little boy lately it seems. I found these while editing a newborn session (almost done Colby! Tomorrow!). She's my big helper while I set up the lights.
Some people have asked for the playlist to Ryan's One Year Video!

Ryan had his 1 Year well check this morning and passed with flying colors. :) He did not enjoy the 3 shots though (MMR, Chicken Pox, and 1/2 of the flu vaccine).
What a year! Ask me when Ryan was 4 months old if I was going to see a year and still have my sanity I would have told you you were nuts. This little boy came in on the tail of a hurricane and turned our lives upside down and inside out. I realized that everything I thought I did so right with Katie did not apply and I felt like a new mom again. Honestly I got so mad thinking about or seeing those moms with the "easy" second babies that went with the flow and they could take anywhere and do anything. In the trenches of those 8-9 months of no sleep and constant crying I thought it would never end...but now on the other side I can clearly see that it was such a small moment in time and such a small sacrafice. I suppose I can say that easily now that he has learned to love sleep and to be happy. I guess Ryan was sent to remind me that I don't have it all figured out and that I'm stronger than I ever thought I could be. He made me a better mother.
In these last few weeks before his birthday it seems as if he is growing and changing every second. Although not walking efficiently yet, he does take 5-6 steps occasionally. He loves to climb on anything! We often find him perched precariously on top of a toy and sometimes a table! He's very vocal and I'm sure is saying lots of things but I just haven't figured them out yet. Some words are more clear...Dadda, Momma, uh-hum (uh-oh), Ja-Ja (Jack), Sssss (sissy), Ah-Duh (all done), dis/dat (referring to something he wants or is pointing too) and just tonight uh-suh (outside). He loves to wave hi and bye. He points to what he wants and loves to clap. He's a lot more picky eater than Katie was so that has been a challenge for me. Fruit is his FAVORITE and loves crackers and cereal. He took to milk instantly and never looked back. His favorite person I think is me...but he is enthralled with his sister. For the most part they play really well together and I just love when he laughs at her. She's the best at making him laugh.
I want to thank all of you who helped me through the rough times with Ryan. Whether they were prayers or encouragement or witty Facebook remarks.
He really is a beautiful boy...inside and out. I'm so blessed to be his mom. I make my babies annoyingly long 1st year videos with sappy music so if you have a spare 33 minutes and some tissues....well, maybe I'm the only one that would cry...I hope you enjoy watching my baby grow. :) I was going to post his 1 year pictures individually, but they are at the end of the video as well so I won't. You can click the following link to see them!
Grandma and Grandpa (but I think mostly Grandpa) couldn't resist getting Ryan his first Harley...Power Wheels style! It's going to take some practice but for now he loves climbing all over it like a stunt driver and watching his sister drive everywhere.
I seriously can't get over this first picture! Haha!!
Making his "car/motorcycle noises"
I don't know what it was about walking in the middle of the street barefoot but he took 5-6 sets at a time!
Saturday we had Ryan's birthday party and we had so much fun! I had no idea I could fit so many people in my house and thank goodness the rain held off and the big kids (and some babies too) could enjoy some outdoor fun. They aren't stunning pictures as I was running around like crazy!
The birthday boy!
Here's some family pictures while waiting for our guests...somehow they are mostly of Katie...
FOOD! I loved how the cupcakes turned out. Banana cake and chocolate frosting for this monkey party!
Babies, babies, everywhere!!! Among the guests were Ryan's pals the quintuplets!
We had a monkey mask craft...
And a bounce house which Ryan LOVES! He was bouncing in there with the big kids but we also had some baby bounce time. The roller coaster was also a hit...
Cake time! Although it took Ryan a little while to warm up to the idea...
Here we go!
After our guests left he opened his gifts...Ryan is one lucky little boy! The whole night was spent crawling from toy to toy. I thought for sure he'd pass out from all the excitement of the day but he just kept going!
Playing before bed...he loves his Little Einsteins ride on...definitely a favorite so far :)
Here is some video of the craziness! Plus look at those happy bouncing babies :D
I am so touched by all the people who were able to come celebrate my baby boy turning 1. We love him very much and I'm so happy that he has so many wonderful people who care about him as well. Thank you everyone!!!
I'm holding on to my last few days of having a baby. On Wednesday he officially becomes a toddler and I'm not quite ready...
I am a mommy to Katie and Ryan, and a wife to Keith. My passions are doing whatever makes my babies happy and photography. I've really only been into photography since November '06 but I'm in love. I'm in love with capturing little expressions in my kids' face and interaction with friends and family. I try to capture everything, from everyday moments to portraits. I don't want to miss or forget a thing.
