Sometime's I look at her and can't believe she's mine!

A Chapter Closed

It feels almost like yesterday we began this journey...
(first and last day of 2's)


such a cliche...
(first and last day of 3's)


but it's so true...
(first and last day of pre-k)



We celebrated all day with her wonderful class and amazing teachers! This class LOVED each other...boy, girl...it didn't matter. The teachers were THE BEST. What a wonderful blessing this class has been! Such an amazing place for these children to grown, learn and thrive!

First we had a picnic at the park where each child got a diploma, a trophy and a cd with pictures from the year! I took pictures of the class and made each teacher a signed board. I think the tears were a clue that they like them! :)


Then we had a wonderful swim party at a classmate's house. It was a great day!


And now my baby will be a Kindergartner in the Fall and I'm in shock that the time has flown so fast and so excited for what lies ahead for her.

Hello Summer

Sometimes I don't know whether to cry....or cry. I want to cry because I have only two days left until school's out and I also want to cry because big changes are coming...ones that I realize out of the blue. Little things like...lunches at home with both kids, Katie upstairs during rest time and coming down to bug me 10 times. Also sleeping in until 8 every day. I need to remember to cherish this summer.

Happy Birthday Poodle Schmoodle!

Today was Cali's 7th birthday. Have we ever celebrated her birthday before? No. But Katie celebrates EVERYTHING these days (we are currently on the countdown until her half birthday) so lucky for Cali!!! ;)

When Cali and I went upstairs to wake Katie up this morning she was sitting on her bed with a gift bag full of gifts for Cali...including this awesome shirt (one size too small)! It says "Girls Rule" by the way :P


We also made Cali a birthday cake...PB and Carrot cake. We sang happy birthday and the whole bit!


She liked it!


And so did he :S

At The Car Wash, Looking Cute and Riding Bikes...

But not all at once!

Ok...this was fun. No more paying for car washes for us! :)


They're pretty cute...


I like to take the kids to the local school to ride bikes...wide open spaces are fun!

In My Daughter's Eyes...

Katie was asked to draw a picture of me. I think she did a darn good job. Here I am in my running clothes, tennis shoes, with my hair in a pony tail. Yup...she's pretty much got me down to a T!

She was also asked to list 3 things that I do.
1. She reads me stories. - TRUE
2. She makes my bed. - Ummmm....
3. Mommy is happy every day. - I love that girl.

Ahhh....and don't I look skinny? Man I wish!
