2 1/2 Years old!

Hi everyone! We have arrived safe and sound in CA and hit the ground running. I'm hoping to post some pics soon. But until then my baby turns 2 1/2 today! Ack! Before I left I made sure I got some pictures. :)

Photo Op

It's been awhile since I have braved the "studio" with Katie. She's usually very uncooperative. But, Katie knows exacactly what is happening every time I drag my seamless paper rolls, backdrop stand and piles of fluffy comfy blankets. "Mommy take my picture?" I usually have to say "not right now" in my rush to get everything done and ready in time but the other day while I was taking pics of Baby Kendall and Baby Brylynn, Katie snuck in there. She actually smiled and she actually looked at me which made my heart leap with joy. And yes, her hair is wet and she has no clothes on...but I love it. I think some more studio stuff may be in our future...thank goodness because it's too dang hot to go outside right now! :D

Away We Go Zoom-e-oh!

Brought out an old friend this afternoon. The zoom! I love my primes but I forgot how fun this guy is...

Especially all the way at the wide end! Hello belly! And yes, I went swimming with Katie. :P

And some non Zoom lens pics. Miss Jenifer gave Katie some carrots from her garden this morning and oh boy was Katie excited about them! The minute we got them home we had to eat them...with ranch dressing of course! (excuse the wonky coloring!)


A funny today while I was waiting for Mercer to open...oops it opens at 10 and my session was scheduled for 9:30...eek...sorry O. Family!

My Child...

-Turns 2 1/2 at the end of this month...
-Hates the camera...
-Won't look at the camera...
-But Wants her picture taken...
-Makes the funniest faces when she does actually look at the camera...


I actually have 24 hours where I don't have a session to proof! Katie turns 2 1/2 on the 30th of this month so she and I took a little trip to Mercer for some pictures. I can't quite express how trying it is to take Katie's picture. Yes I get one or two and you all must think it's so easy, but those glances that you see are mere milliseconds and that's not an exaggeration! This child makes me work and tests my patience to the limit! She WILL NOT look at the camera. Anyway as you can see, above is sampling of the looks I do get and I have to admit they are hilarious all compiled like that!

And I doubt anyone cares, but I took some purty shots of some flowers today too....you'll have to wait until the 30th for the good pics of Katie! :P




Oh....and I think we are very close to revealing Baby Boy's name! VERY EXCITING!!!!

I totally forgot about these on my other camera. We had a playdate with Ryan and his mommy last week at the mall!



And I think this day was harder for Mommy than Katie. Her last day of Kindermusik. :''''( With a busy summer and preschool in the Fall it was time to say goodbye to Katie's beloved Miss Penni. She's been going to Kindermusik since she was 6 months old and Miss Penni has been her teacher the whole time! Hopefully Baby Boy will get to have Miss Penni as a teacher too...she's the best!!

Mother's Day!

Happy (late) Mother's Day to all you wonderful Mommies! We had a really nice day. I started off with a newborn session in the morning and then all of Keith's family joined us in the afternoon for yummy burgers, corn on the cob, watermelon and Stacy's yummy cheesecake! But answer me this...why on earth do I suddenly go camera stupid and forget to take pictures when family's here???? I did snap these of Katie and Aunt Julie...they had lots of fun running around outside. :P

We had a fun last day of the session today at Tumbles. A lot of people will go their separate ways this summer so it's sorta sad. We'll be going back over the summer...I bought a punch card but after that it's on to preschool!
