It'll grow back...

So I was trying to hype myself up about cutting Ryan's hair. He obviously needed it. I mean it was scraggly and hanging over his ears. But there is something about a momma and cutting her baby's hair that is HARD. I mean that's the first hair you touched...saw...it was the hair he had inside my belly for goodness sakes! But alas it was time. I told her the cliche "a little off the top" and before I know it almost 3 inches (or at least that's what it was in my mind) fell to the floor. My heart stopped, I felt a tear and almost screamed STOP...WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING???? But I didn't. Uggh...but in the end it's not THAT bad I guess. A bit shorter than I expected and quite a dramatic difference!

He sure was cute during the process though...sitting in the big boy chair BY HIMSELF! I brought the D50 thinking that I'd have to have someone take pictures for me while I held him but nope! He sat with his seat belt on just fine!

Happy 5 Months Little Man

I hadn't planned on taking any pictures for his 5 month birthday but he woke up early from his nap and Katie was still sleeping so we hung out in my bedroom. Have I mentioned how much I love the window light in my bedroom?? Anyway, just HAD to snap a few of our big Little Man.

Starting to sit by himself! Pretty wobbly but I don't think it will be long. :)


He's found his toes! His big belly kinda gets in the way of really playing with them :)


Take a good look...this maybe the last week he has a mop on his head! I think a first haircut is in his immediate future...like Wednesday!

School Valentine's Day Party!

Katie had her Valentine's Day party at school yesterday! She has been so excited to pass out her Valentine's to her friends. Unfortunately Ryan decided to keep Mommy up all night and Mommy came down with the sickies so Grandma saved the day and went to her party. I'm sure Katie was way more thrilled with that scenario! :) Anyway, Grandma K took some pictures of the festivities. I was sad I couldn't be there :(

Soccer

I've been so excited for Katie to start soccer...although it's just the Rec Center and they don't really play games, it's a start! Now my teacher friends can probably relate to the frustration I feel when I take Katie to these "classes" and the people don't know the first thing about organizing a group of kids...especially 3 year olds. These two coaches were doomed from the beginning! They didn't get to do much because they spent the whole time trying to get them to stand on a line...hehe. Anyway here's my big girl on her first day of soccer!
