Lost Photos...

The week after Ryan was born I had the super wonderfully talented Mindy Harmon take our first family shots of the four of us. She also took some of me with Ryan and Katie. Well in my post pregnancy stupor I totally forgot to take a look at the CD she gave me with all the pictures on it. I finally pulled it out to add to Ryan's video. :)

As in Baldy from the dynamic duo Baldy and the Fro! Although I must say he does have some hair so I'm not sure if he can be called Baldy anymore. We really enjoyed ourselves...I mean who wouldn't when there's a bounce house!

I managed to get this...she really does have a beautiful smile...


And she was so proud of her pretty dress...


She was my "helper" today while I set up the studio to start taking Ryan's 1 Year pictures. Did I really just say that? Excuse me while I go cry into my pillow! Let's just say Ryan did everything he could to keep the pictures from happening, including pulling down my light stand, tearing my seamless, and pushing buttons on my camera that changed the file size to small unbeknownst to me. Yeah I was thrilled when I started editing the photos after all that work. Grrr. He really does live up to the event that welcomed him into the world. Maybe I should have named him Ike afterall. He's something that's for sure!

I look forward to sharing not only 1 year pictures but the infamous 1 Year Video that I put together. Katie's was 45 minutes long (I saw you roll your eyes mom! hehe) and Ryan's is about that too. Hopefully they will appreciate them someday.

Touch A Truck!

Man...I definitely blog in spurts :)

This morning we lathered up in sunscreen, donned our tank tops and braved the scorching TX heat and humidity at 9am to go take part in our Community Association's Touch-A-Truck event. I have to say it was very neat but I just wish it was cooler out. Standing in lines was just miserable. They did offer free snowcones and cold bottled water which were very much appreciated!

Anyway, Katie had so much fun! I encourage anyone with with girls to let them experience these sorts of things. It's not just for boys! :D

Lord...I hope I never have to see this for real! :P

Outdoorsy - EDITED!

Ryan loves to be outside....Mommy in feels like temps of 107 and humidity that feels not of this earth, not so much! Plus it's too hot to put pants on him and his little legs get thrashed! I try to take him out there every now and then though. I can't wait to for Fall!!!

Later that day we had a little rain storm come through and it rained hard! Katie ran out to play in the rain (I didn't hear any thunder) with her umbrella. She left the door open and this is what I saw...

It's coming....

The walking that is.... In a matter of 36 hours he's gone from not letting go of anything to standing for long periods of time and last night even taking 3 steps. Although in this video he barely took one....of course! If he's anything like his sister, it will happen so fast and he'll never look back!

11 Months - The Countdown Begins :''''''(

11 Months...wow! In one month my baby will be 1 year old. I can't believe how time flies. He's turning into a little boy before our eyes. He loves to do anything that gets him in trouble...turning the TV on and off, pushing any sort of buttons, banging on laptops, making a mad dash for the dog bowl. He eats like horse and loves any sort of fruit, cheese, goldfish and basically anything anyone else has. No walking yet but he gets so proud of himself when he's standing up holding onto the couch and lets go to "walk" to you but he forgets to move his feet and ends up falling at you. As long as he's holding a finger he'll walk but not on his own yet. I swear he says two words...Dada (of course) and All Done "ah duh." He LOVES his sister...most of the time. See the smiles in these pictures? Katie was behind me. He thinks she walks on water. We'll see how long that lasts!

Playdate on Steroids

I love getting together with these mamas. It's crazy, chaotic and we leave houses in shambles when we are done, but we have the best times. It was Colby's week to host and pick up the pieces of her thrashed house and we had a great time! I only snapped a few but check out Colby's blog for lots of pictures and video of the chaos! :D
