Halloween 2012!

We hope you had a SUPER Halloween!

Ryan's School Halloween Party and Parade!

Yesterday Ryan had his Halloween party and a costume parade. They all looked super cute! Ryan even showed me his muscles (hard to miss) as he passed by but was pretty shocked by all the parents staring at him :)

The party was fun! Lots of fun treats and a craft (provided by moi!). Ryan's main teacher dresses up as Cat in the Hat every year...too fun even though some kids were slightly terrified! HA! And of course Ms. Maureen who we've loved dearly ever since Katie had her 3 years ago.

Dewberry Farms 2012!

We had a blast at Dewberry Farms on Sunday! It's always fun to get the cousins together and it's amazing how much Brooke is growing! I just wished it actually FELT like Fall at least. Upper 80's in October is just wrong! The best time was after the sun started going down...the crowds thinned out and the air cooled off. Can't wait until next year!

Storybook Character Parade!

It's sad to think this will be Katie's last Storybook Character Parade! 2nd Graders are apprently too cool for it. :) But 1st Graders think it's great! Katie chose a book from the Rainbow Magic Pet Fairies series called Katie the Kitten Fairy...naturally :) Everyone was so cute!

I'm kinda loving this snap of Katie...my beautiful girl!

Fall Fest 2012!

Last night Katie's school has their Fall Festival! Now Katie's school has 1200 students...say 2/3 come...that's 800 + parents and siblings and grandparents and it equals mad house craziness. But, it's fun for the kids!

Also need to sneak this one in...the sad lone picture I've taken of Katie this soccer season. I'm coaching her team which makes it really hard to take pictures! So sad!

It's October!

And that means we break out the fall decorations and do our best to pretend it FEELS like Fall! Actually on Monday it DID feel like fall with chilly temps. My mom's group had their fall festival that day as well and it got us in the mood! Ryan was supposed to wear his spiderman outfit but at the last minute opted for his new shark sweatshirt ;)

Then his buddy Jackson showed up in his super cool Power Ranger costume and Ryan decided it was time for Spiderman to make an appearance. There were some serious muscles going on!

The kids had a sack race...according to Ryan spiders just really aren't good at hopping. Power Rangers however are... ;)

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Katie's school holds monthly "Spotlight Ceremonies" which spotlight a character trait which has been focused on at the school. A student from each class that best exemplifies that trait is nominated to receive the Spotlight Award. Last year Katie was quite devastated she did not receive one and was super excited that her teacher chose her for the very first spotlight of the year on RESPECT. I am so glad to hear she is respectful at school...now we need to work on at home ;) Anyway...here's my baby getting her reward. So proud!
