It's our 3rd anniversary today! Too bad I'll be spending it on a plane to CA for my Grandma's funeral. :( We had a scrumptious dinner at Kirby's last night that I'm still full from. Happy Anniversary Bubba!
I'll be back blogging in a few days!
photography by Leland Wong (and yes I have permission to use the photos)
Most of you know what a poopy week I had...well Keith brought me some pretties the other day. :) They started opening up so I snapped a couple. WUBWU BUBBA!
Katie and I were getting stir crazy so we went out to a park. She's wearing one of her new flower bows from the fab Jamie and of course I had to get some pictures. :)h I think these are soooo adorable! I might have to order a few more...hehe.
To bad it was 95 degrees with like a million % humidity. Katie called it quits...
Just a view of our "almost" Full Moon. With the TX rain and clouds who knows if the real deal would be visible so I snapped it when I could with the zoom. This is at the full 200mm. It reminds me of my all-time favorite children's book Wait 'Till the Moon is Full by Margaret Wise Brown, which coincidentally my Grandma R. use to read to me when I was younger. :)
So I was in Target...yet again...and I decided to look for some creative artsy-craftsy stuff to do with the Smoosh. I decided on some play-doh and boy was it a hit! I definitely recommend it! She had a blast and cried and cried when it was time to put it away. And she only tasted it once and spit it out and made a yucky face. Never did it again! Haha!
Nothing like a little "Daddy Horse" to make you feel better. When her Daddy lays on the floor Katie goes over to him and pulls him over so she can get on his back. It is soooooo funny!
And if a Daddy on a princess mobile doesn't make you laugh....nothing will. :)
Just got news that my Grandmother passed away. Although I'm very sad, I'm happy that she's in a place where there is no such thing as Alzheimers and she remembers everything again. Just a few pictures to share...
This is actually a picture of me without a ponytail! It's a miracle! Dallas wanted to see a picture so I thought I'd share with you. Yeah, I'm not the best at taking pictures of myself. :)
And one from last night walking in Daddy's crocs...yes, yes, he has electric blue crocs. I try not to judge. :D
No not diamonds...that's mommy's best friend! :) Snapped a few while we walked to get the mail. Ok...easier in theory with Katie and the dog in the street. We live in a relatively quiet neighborhood so there weren't any cars but I was to nervous to take many pictures.
I spent a milli-second in Target today grabbing some dishwasher detergent, and you just happen to pass the toddler clothes. How is a mommy supposed to resist? As soon as Katie woke up from her nap, out we went. Low and behold I took 10 pictures and the yard people came! Oh well...I managed to snap a few that melt the old heart.
You may recognize the hat...from my first pictures ever with the Nikon last November. This is pretty much where my photography obsession began!
We are home! After 3 weeks of traveling through CA and WA we are finally back home in our own beds and playing with our own toys. We had a wonderful time in WA and it was great seeing family. Katie got to meet tons of new people and they all loved her. Who wouldn't? hehe. Anyway, I thought I'd share a few pictures that I've gone through from the trip. Not done proofing but I have enough to get started.
Birch Bay, WA This is a bay which is typically filled with water and boats but when the tide goes out it's a huge mud puddle! Katie had a blast running through the pools of water and splashing around. Keith has fond memories of this place as a kid.
Lake Samish, WA This is Keith's Great Aunt's Summer home and you can't pick a more perfect location. It's peaceful and beautiful and we had a great time. This is another place that Keith spent a lot of time as a kid. I have TONS more photos from here, but haven't sorted through them all so this is all you get. :)
I am a mommy to Katie and Ryan, and a wife to Keith. My passions are doing whatever makes my babies happy and photography. I've really only been into photography since November '06 but I'm in love. I'm in love with capturing little expressions in my kids' face and interaction with friends and family. I try to capture everything, from everyday moments to portraits. I don't want to miss or forget a thing.
