Bringing in Spring with Bubbles!
Nothing says Spring around our house more than bubbles. The weather has been so nice lately...70+ so it's time to GET OUTSIDE before the summer heat forces us back in.

Little Valentine's
Katie is getting to be such a fun age. Every holiday is such a big deal and so exciting. Now that Valentine's is here she's already talking about St. Patricks Day!
Mommy took charge of her Valentine's this year...as much as I love the store bought character ones I've waited years to finally have her cooperate enough for this card!!! I LOVED it!

Yesterday Katie helped me make some Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cake Balls for my mom's group. She's a pro at cracking eggs and mixing and licking the bowl clean. ;) Ryan's not too shabby at spoon licking!

Took some pictures on the front porch this afternoon of my little Valentine's. I don't think I've ever been able to get Ryan to smile like this for a picture! What did it take? Katie's making her doll dance on my head ;)

Some pictures from when we were trying to get Katie's Valentine card picture. Ryan sat for 2 minutes.

Last but not least...me with my Big Valentine on our night out!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Painting with a Twist!
Last night my mom's group had a Mom's Night Out at this place called Painting with a Twist. You bring yourself and your favorite beverage and they supply the art supplies and the artist to walk you through painting a specific picture. A little overwhelming at first but turned out to be really fun!

And because most people that visit this blog would rather see my kids than some boring paintings...here are my crazy rugrats ;)

Our Super Bowl Party
The kids have no idea what football is and Katie actually kept calling it "the baseball game"...sad I know, but they are always up for an excuse to have a party! We ate really bad food (Pioneer Woman's bacon wrapped jalapenos and homemade hot wings were just a few) but as you see in the picture I offered veggies! ;) Actually I think the veggies are what the kids ate the most of. So there! Haha! The kids also sported their new 49er jerseys...hey...that's the only football I've ever known! Fun times!

Goodbye Ole Girl
Dear Jessie,
They listed you as a beagle in the local newspaper. The animal shelter said you wouldn't grow much bigger than you already were. Boy were they wrong! I chose you because you were the only one out of your brothers and sisters that stayed near me after the initial craziness; you seemed calm. Boy was I wrong. I named you Jessie...I can't remember why? It might have been the name they gave you? You were so cute. I thought you might be an indoor dog...that didn't last long. Your energy and size made it impossible. You had SO much energy and you loved to run. You got in your fair share of trouble on other people's property and got a bullet in your leg to show for it. You were a good dog and I hope you felt loved. I'm so glad I got to see you over Christmas and give you one last hug :) RIP sweet girl.
PS: If it's ok with you, I'll remember you like the top picture where we were both much younger and less rough around the edges ;)

Valentine Picture Outtakes
Ahhh...always interesting taking pictures of my own kids. Ryan especially right now, which is why you never see him much. But I jumped on a moment of cooperation and quickly snapped Katie's Valentine card pics for school and a couple of Ryan looking oh so edgy and angsty.
Here are a few outtakes that made me laugh. I honestly have no idea what they are doing in the picture of both of them. I told them to give kisses and they did this and yelled at teh top of their lungs. Ahhh...sibling love!

Brunch on my Birthday
Darn it...the birthdays keep coming! Although it wasn't necessarity for my birthday we had a delicious brunch/lunch at Cyclone Anaya's in City Center with the Aunts, Uncles, favorite little cousin and Keith's friend from high school, Lara. It was a great morning and Lara even brought me (and everyone else) DELISH cupcakes from Crave! Couldn't have been better!
