Just some pictures from playgroup today. I really wish I had a video camera. These guys were chatting up a storm..it was so cute the little conversations they were having.
Well, if you get cake AND ice cream on your birthday you should get ice cream OR cake for your half birthday right? Seems logical. After Katie's 18 month check up, where she weighed in at a whopping 28 lbs 14 oz. and 34 inches long, we went to Coldstone and got some yummies. Too bad the Texas heat melted the darn thing before we got home! Oh well...it was still a nice treat and I just realized more sugar!!! I swear the next post she will be eating broccoli and lots of it!
And to top off the day...a little dancing with Daddy!
Has anybody seen my baby? I distinctly remember yesterday having a tiny little sack-o-potatoes and today I have a full on toddler running around my house. So yeah, Katie turns 18 months tomorrow and Mommy is feeling a little sappy. I did try to have an 18 month photoshoot with Katie, but the weather had other plans. After 20 minutes it decided to downpour and we had to make a mad dash for the car....camera and baby flinging at my side. It was quite a sight. I did manage to snap a few...
Enjoy!
And because I'm being nostalgic...a newborn Katie Beth...
I had the pleasure of taking pictures of these 2 beautiful little girls for the second time now. I thought I'd share a sneak peak. Aren't they just the cutest???
You will probably think I just feed my child sugar with the popsicle pictures and now these. :) This lollipop has been sitting in my pantry since January and I thought her blue shirt would look so pretty with all the beautiful colors. :)
No...this is just Katie looking at the airplanes that fly over our house constantly. She is very aware of them now and stops and looks up at the sky whenever she hears them. Occasionally I can even get her to do the sign for airplane as well.
It was a gloomy rainy day and we were stuck inside. I decided to do some "studio" type shots. Anyway, Katie wanted nothing to do with sitting still where mommy asked. Go figure from an 18 month old. Anyway, snapped these two in a hat made by Miss Jenifer! She's the best. :D
So if any of you know a newborn or a baby that's still stationary...Miss Shannon needs a break from the toddler pictures! Hehe!
Our morning ritual and thanks to Aunt Stacy we have a Princess Minnie Mouse to fill the other arm...
After having such a great time playing with Andon's sand and water table, I decided to get Katie one. She LOVES this thing! The first thing she did when she woke up this morning was walk over the window that looks out the backyard, points and says, "ow-si." Mommy had to stall her for an hour or so but when we did go "ow-si" we were "ow-si" for 2 hours!
After drenching our first outfit of the day, we changed and went to lunch with Cherie, Angie, Taylor and Kaylin where afterwards we proceeded to drench another outfit in the kid fountain at Market Street. Sorry, no pictures...I was a moron and didn't bring my camera....SHOCKING! :-) So, home we went with Katie snoozing in the car. Got home and Katie decides she's done snoozing and wants to play "ow-si." So we put on another set of clothes...I think tomorrow she'll just play naked!
And because I'm trying to make this the longest post ever...some from yesterday at Grandma and Grandpa K's with Aunt Julie and Aunt Stacy as well...
Snapped some of my cooperative cockapoo, Cali. She's the sweetest thing on the planet and soooo unbelievably good with Katie. She's pretty darn cute too.
I am a mommy to Katie and Ryan, and a wife to Keith. My passions are doing whatever makes my babies happy and photography. I've really only been into photography since November '06 but I'm in love. I'm in love with capturing little expressions in my kids' face and interaction with friends and family. I try to capture everything, from everyday moments to portraits. I don't want to miss or forget a thing.
