Preschool Halloween Party and Parade!

This morning Katie had her preschool Halloween Party and Parade and it was the first time she got to wear her costume. Grandma K helped us make it and turned out super cute! Now if I could just get her to stop wiping her nose! By the end of the day the nose was no more. :)

The parade...she had no clue what was happening and why a million moms, dads and various other relatives were videoing and taking pictures...

The cutest little fire fighter I've ever seen!

Back in the classroom!

Waiting for a craft...

With her beloved Miss Erin...

At the library reading books before the party...

At this point Ryan was screaming, I was taking pictures with one hand (camera + external flash = heavy) and something got bumped...oops! She has been so excited to sing the "pumpkin song." It was really cute!

Ryan got dressed up too...can you believe this is a 3-6 month onesie and it fits!!!

Oh and the flowers on some kids faces is because I don't have permission to post pictures of them :)

Carving Pumpkins....Take 1

I say take 1 because we didn't quite get all of them carved last night. Mommy made the mistake of buying a pumpkin carving kit with some cool patterns and tips for carving which I think Daddy took as a personal challenge. :) More carving to take place Thursday night!

First off, Katie's Princess pumpkin! I found this Potato head pumpkin kit at Target. :)

Now on to serious business...Keith doing some pre-carving reading...

Katie's not too sure about the goop...

Back off ladies...he's all mine!

Ryan...what would you like your pumpkin to look like?

The finished product...Keith, what's up with the jazz hands?

Aww!

Birthdays, Birthdays Everywhere!

This was a big month of birthdays around here. I was a slacker and wasn't able to do special posts for everyone this year. :(

This guy just turned 2! We love you Ayden and can't wait to see you at Christmas!

A certain pals Dad turned 30!!!!

Uncle Brandon had one too! We love you!

Hmmm...who else....

DADDY!!!!

We had the gang over Sunday night for some good times, fajitas and gluten free cake!

Grandpa K managed to avoid the camera, but I got him the other night. Ryan loves his lap. :)

Please Pray For Kayleigh...

I first started following Kayleigh's (and her mommy Aimie's) story on my Baby Center Message Board for September 08 babies. Kayleigh was due right around the time Ryan was. During the pregnancy she wasn't growing and wasn't expected to live, but little Kayleigh proved everyone wrong. She was born VERY early and weighed 1 pound and has been such a fighter and an inspiration! She's faced serious obsticles her whole short little life and is facing even bigger ones now. It really puts my stresses with Ryan in perspective, that's for sure. Please take a little time to check out her blog and send a little prayer or thought in her direction. She has come a long way!

I sorta caught it...

a first smile that is. He's flashed them once or twice now, but you have to really work for them!

I thought this was funny...

This post one year ago yesterday....

You'd almost think that Texas had seasons except for that Katie was wearing a tank top and shorts. But...this year...the leaves were blown completely off that tree by hurricane Ike. No leaf playing this year unfortunately. :(

And just for giggles...Katie 2 years ago...

Silly Girl

Ok so a couple friends have started blogging some of the funny things their kids say and since I can never remember what it is she said I never get around to blogging it. Until last night!

Keith bought Katie the Sleeping Beauty DVD while he was at Fry's yesterday. When he came home and gave it too her she looked at it and in her most excited serious voice said...."It's just like my panties!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!" Her princess panties that is. Not "oh it's just like the book we've read 5 trillion times!"

Silly girl...

1 Month Old

Boy does time fly! Doesn't this onesie just fit his "Little Man" nickname?

This little boy is giving me a run for my money that's for sure. Things started going better and he was sleeping great at night but then a few days ago he started to get really bad acid reflux, plus he stopped sleeping and you could just tell he was so miserable, so I took him to the pediatrician today to see what she thought. So, now he's on medication for it and I pray that this makes him feel better and I hope that we have a happier "Little Man" on our hands soon. Good news is he is gaining weight...up to 9lbs 6oz and 21 1/2" (I think this was his length). He's downright scrawny compared to big sis at this point but I think he's gearing up for a big comeback. :)

OMG...I do exist!

So I REALLY wanted to get some pictures done of me with Ryan as a newborn to match the ones I had done with Katie and found found the FABULOUS Mindy Harmon who was so kind to do some family pictures for us as well. You do not understand how excited I was to have some family pictures. Let me refresh you memory of our last professional family picture from JC Penney...

Stunning isn't it? Barf...and yes I know copyright blah blah but they almost killed my child at this session so phooey on them.

Anyway, back to the fabulous Mindy Harmon! Look at my family!!!!

She got some really sweet shots so check them out HERE and HERE!

Thank you so much Mindy and for all my clients who need to get some holiday shots this year, please give her a call. I'm so bummed I can't do sessions this holiday but she's great and will take good care of you. But y'all have to come back to me next year!! Hehe!

Pumpkins!

We took our little pumpkins to the pumpkin patch last weekend. Lots of fun! We came home with 4 pumpkins...one for each member of the family. :) Jackson and Kendall came too which made it even more fun!
