Halloween Wrap Up!

It really seems like I've been celebrating Halloween for the entire month and I probably did. But alas...it all ended tonight with a wonderful dinner with friends and trick-or-treating fun for the kiddos. I think the kids were on a sugar high just thinking about all the candy they were going to get...they were excited to say the least.

Today Ryan's playgroup had a Halloween party! The cuteness level was off the charts let me tell you.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Katie could hardly contain herself this morning because it was her Daddy's birthday! Originally Keith was going to have wa ork dinner so we were going to postpone the celebration until tomorrow but it was cancelled. First Katie couldn't wait to give him his presents, then she couldn't wait to make the gluten free cake (I don't think my kids can tell the difference), then it was torture to wait for it to cool so she could decorate it, then she was inconvenienced by actually having to eat Daddy's special birthday dinner (Fish Tacos, rice and beans)...the horror! But then, finally...TIME TO PARTY Star Wars style. Keith even had a birthday crown and a ribbon that declared him the "Birthday Jedi Knight"...he's a good sport.

Halloween Happenings!

The other night we carved pumpkins...it really should be an olympic event. It doesn't help that Katie wants 4 pumpkins...one for each member of the family. At least we talked her out of pumpkins for the pets! Ryan wanted nothing to do with it and secluded himself in the bedroom to watch Rocket while we "had fun" ;) Katie thought she was into it but really after 5 minutes bailed on us too. I think Keith and I did pretty good!


Yesterday Katie was able to wear her costume for the first time to dance. I think she makes a perfect Jessie don't you!!?? We realized quickly it's not easy to dance in jeans and a belt but she made it through!

All About Baby Brooke

I'm not sure if Brooke quite knew what she was getting into coming into this family. The mother of all mamarazzi Aunties and a overly doting cousin??? Hopefully we don't scare her off :D

Feelin' Pumpkinish

If you are a Zoboomofoo fan you may get that reference..lol! Anyway...we hit up the pumpkin patch at The Woodlands United Methodist Church with the purpose of finding our "pumpkin family." According to Katie we must get a pumpkin for every member of our family. We were successful and got some cute pics to boot! They guy working there was a hoot...he made funny disney character voices. :D

Oh So Spooky!

First off...Katie wants me to tell everyone to pretend you hear spooky music. She is very proud of her haunted house and has been working very hard on getting everything just perfect. Mommy on the other hand was about the throw the thing in the trash trying to line up the various cut outs and edges which weren't cut "just perfect." But alas...it came out perfectly imperfect and perfect spooky! And it really does play perfectly spooky music!

Halloween Preview!

My Mom's Group had their Fall Festival this week and it's a nice little dry run of Halloween. It's also nice that we get to wear our costumes more than once! Here's Ryan all dudded up as Sheriff Woody from Toy Story...and Katie will be Jessie! All her idea by the way! Who am I to say no to coordinating costumes!?? She had to miss out on the fun due to school. Boo!

I know I'm biased but I think he's the cutest thing EVER even though he wouldn't cooperate for pictures ;)

Dewberry Farms!

4 Years ago almost to the day we went to Dewberry Farms...One less kid and a couple feet :)


The place would be a blast if you could have half the amount of people and if it were 10 degrees cooler. Although I shouldn't complain...it was beautiful weather by TX standards!

Katie had a blast!


Ryan decided he didn't want to have fun until 2 hours in when we all were exhausted, grumpy and ready to get out of dodge. He LOVED the animals and riding the "hayride" out to pick pumpkins.


Maybe we'll go back in another 4 years :)

Soccer Super Star

Grandma was here this weekend...life was good, Katie was in heaven!


Katie is having a ton of fun with soccer and she was excited to show Grandma all about it. She loves doing anything with her pal Jackson. Jackson I must add...is a super good sport. How many boys would let a girl hug on them all the time ;)

Smilin' and Swingin' and Hello October!

October came with a welcome cool down in temps...can I get an AMEN Texas peeps???? I cannot get enough of being outside. I think we have the opposite type of seasonal dissorder that you hear about in the Northwest. I get depressed in the summer and being stuck inside hiding from the opressive heat!

Anyway...it's BEAUTIFUL right now...I hope it stays!

Here are the kids playing on the swings. They can't get enough and it's just about the only thing want to do outside. Ryan loves to swing like a big boy and is getting pretty good! Now if I can get him to not get off randomly and run in front of his sister :S
