I'm not sure what I was thinking going to try to get bluebonnet pics of my own kids today after 3 days of rain, but I did it anyway. Can you say mud pit? Can you say dreary fog? Yeah....within 5 minutes Katie's pretty white dress and shoes were covered in mud. *sigh* There was no way I was going to put Ryan out there! We'll try again in a couple of days. :)
I did snap a couple of Katie who was being typical and Katie and not cooperating. Of course she looks like a complete angel here...
Today is Ryan's big HALF BIRTHDAY!!! Hopefully I'll get some pics of him today!!
I honestly can't remember the last time it really rained around here. It's been such a dry winter. After weeks of 70's and 80's we had a cold blast today with lots of rain. Katie wanted to go out and spash in some puddles with her rain boots and umbrella. Who am I to say no? I grabbed my camera...hehe
For some reason she looks so big and tall and this picture. We are definitely going through a tall skinny phase that's for sure! I can't believe I'm starting to buy 5T clothes...ack!!!
Some snaps from last night with the boys
Keith got one of me and Ryan...bummer it's out of focus!!! :P
Ryan LOVES his sister...most of the time. He is just mesmerized by everything she does. The rest of us had headaches after this, but Ryan was having a blast :)
Last Friday we met up with Jackson and Kendall for some fun at the park! We also just happened to run into some other friends as well. I'm finding more and more it's harder to take a lot of pictures when you are wrangling two kiddos...mostly because one of those kiddos is on my hip! Ryan and Kendall found my camera though on the swings!
This week is a big week here in Houston. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo started and that means "Go Texan" fun at all the schools. I quickly realized we don't have anything remotely "Texan" or western around here! After a borrowed pink bandana from Grandma K. and a borrowed faux cowskin vest from our neighbor Ella, Katie looked a bit more "Texan." Somehow the fUggs...or fake uggs don't really work but it's all we had that fit. :P
I even braided her hair...yeah that went REALLY well with a 3 year old. Oh well..it was cute :)
Seriously contemplating wallpapering my house in his gorgeous smile...and don't get me started on those eyes...
Just a behind the scenes note...he WILL NOT smile if my face is behind the camera so this shot is a tad out of focus because I have to focus the shot and then look out from my camera so he can see me smiling at him. Hehe.
I am a mommy to Katie and Ryan, and a wife to Keith. My passions are doing whatever makes my babies happy and photography. I've really only been into photography since November '06 but I'm in love. I'm in love with capturing little expressions in my kids' face and interaction with friends and family. I try to capture everything, from everyday moments to portraits. I don't want to miss or forget a thing.
