Class of 2024!

Katie had her Kindergarten graduation today! I have a hard time getting too emotional about it....I mean really, what's changing? More homework?? Oh well...it was a great celebration of a great first year of real school! Each Kindergartener is paired with a 6th grade buddy (or 2) and they do things together throughout the year. Well, at Kindergarten Graduation their buddy walks them to the stage. It was pretty neat. After they received their diploma they put on a super cute performance. Make sure to turn the volume up as the iphone can be kind of quiet when it records. Well, except for when I whoop and holler! lol! One more day of school tomorrow and then it's SUMMER and on to First Grade! Exciting!

Big Day at Little Gym!

Ryan loves Little Gym and Friday he had his big "Show Day" where they showcase the sports he has been learning and then they all get medals. God bless his coaches because he is quite a handful in class!

Here he is being introduced. They are supposed to come out and do a somersault or a cartwheel. Take a look at what my all star does! Lol! I have to say though that many of the kids froze and didn't do anything ;)

School's Out for Ryan!

Ryan had his last week of school! We survived! Our year started out rough...a lot of tears and frustration but he now loves it and it has been a positive experience for him.

He had a little class party on Tuesday...


On Thursday they did a lot of playing outside and it was HOT! Hence the sweatiness ;)

Girl Scout Father Daughter Dance!

The other night Katie, Keith and some other daddies and daughters from our troop got all gussied up for a night on the town! One of the moms was even so sweet to rent a limo for the ride to the dance. Unfortunately due to proms, they didn't get a ride back. lol! Oh well...the girls were THRILLED and they were so adorable with their Daddies!

Field Day!

Today Katie had her field day at school. Now when I taught there it was kind of exhausting from the teacher side as well as for the parents. I was so excited to see that they now utilize the 6th graders to run the whole thing! I think it's a great thing.

I missed the first activity which was some sort of scooter race. But caught the end of the mummy wrap, then the sponge relay, popsicles, playtime at the playground, egg race, potato sack race and finally back to the air conditioning for the parachute.
