Playdate with the Twinsies!

We always enjoy getting together with fellow photographer Megan and her twin boys Jerah and Job. Things are always interesting when these 3 get together! Our day started with some maternity pics and I want to thank Megan soooooo much for them. I rarely get in front of the camera so they were a special treat. She has a few on her blog so check them out!

I'm also green with envy because she has lights. She was nice enough to let me play and I snapped a few of her as well. :P

Then it was off to the Davis Arboretum for the kiddos playtime! I had tons of color issues so please excuse them. something went wonky on my camera that day. :(

And if any of you wonder what life is like with twins?

Back in the day...

I went to Jr. High/High School with these cuties' Mommy. :)

It's kind of a trip that we have kids of our own now playing at a park that I used to play at when I was a kid. My best attempt at a shot of the 3 of them!

Yesterday we had a photo playdate with Megan!! TONS of photos to come on both ends I'm sure. We always love meeting up with the twinsies!

Tomorrow I head out of civilization to our cabin for the weekend! WOOT for no technology for 3 days! I'm not kidding...propane powered lights is the extent of it. There is running water thank goodness. :) Anyway lots of Katie in nature pics to come as well. Have a great weekend!

The Princess has definitely lost the spotlight...

to the most handsome of Princes! The R Clan got together on Sunday at my parents house and Katie and I got to meet Baby Jace for the first time. We were VERY excited! Jace is my cousin Anna's son, so Katie's second cousin. Let's say they hit it off. She loved everything about him and was overly helpful for sure. I think it may have been a bit of a glimpse into our future but this baby went home. We'll see how she acts when the baby actually has to stay! Anyway I couldn't stop taking pics of him so :P

My bro and his gorgeous girlfriend...isn't it sickening how cute they are?

Can't forget our 4 legged visitor! Sable!

John and Judy having a very serious conversation about olives...and I'm not joking. The green ones really did taste like black ones! :P And Katie's definitely my daughter! I heart olives!

My Uncle Tom flew his plane (that he built himself!) up to join the festivities and even did a fly by before landing at the airport! Katie thought it was way cool but she was in the front yard and I was on the back porch so I didn't get to see her reaction. But apparently when Tom waved the wings she waved her wings too!

Aww...Jace and his Mommy! And other various Jace pictures...I'm not obsessed, really!

And finally...Katie and Jace

Oh and I have more Jace pics...Jace with my mom, Jace with Old Aunt Judy, Jace with my dad etc...was Katie even there? :P

The Cabin!

My dad and I drove up to our cabin the other day while Katie and Grandma played at home. We needed to make sure we could get in (as it's way out in the middle of nowhere) and it's been snowing in the mountains. We made it so we will all be going up next weekend...whoohoo! It's my favorite place on earth :)

It got a recent patriotic paint job :P Hey...why not! We have no neighbors!

The view from the deck...the clouds were creating really neat shadow and light areas...

I walked breifly down to the creek..

This is "The Rock Pile"... a great hike which I seriously doubt I'll be making this trip. If I did they'd have to Life-Flight a fat pregger lady off it...haha!

Katie's only been once...I think she was about 9 months old so this time she'll really get to enjoy it. There are lots of rocks to collect! :)

Bummin' around the house

Just wanting to share some more pictures. Last week Katie, Grandma and I baked some yummerific cookies :)

mmmmmmm...

Just playing in the yard at Grandma and Grandpa's...

Here's Jessie...Katie fav friend at the moment. Jessie is super old and isn't fond of this whippersnapper bothering her, but she loves all the dog bones she's getting. It's a love/hate relationship :P

6 Flags Discovery Kingdom...

Or Marine World for the old fogeys like me! Although it's not quite the Marine World of long long ago. Animals are now kind of an afterthought (SAD!!!) and it caters more to the jr. high/high school roller coaster crowd, but we still had lots of fun and Katie loved the kiddy rides and the animals! I must say though that they are very serious about their ride rules. Mommy could ride the tram from the parking lot to the gate but was absolutely not allowed to ride the Thomas the Train ride in the park, with her being in her delicate condition. :P

Excuse me while I experiment with different watermarks :)

Here we go!

The Butterfly place was way cool. Mommy could have stayed in there forever taking pictures!

Hehe...

At the whale show! Katie was more interested in her ICEE though...

Katie and Grandpa enjoying some rides :)

Swinging!

King of the Mountain!

By this point Katie was less than interested in watching the Tiger show...but Grandpa and Mommy were. Katie and Grandma went and had a little heart to heart...

Holy moley this guy was cool!!! He would come up to the glass and clap his hands for the kids. He was a total ham! The kids loved him!

Grandma's turn for rides!

I think I have a bazillion more pictures but this will have to do for now! :P
