In Action!

Sorry for the lack of posting. Life has become a little hectic with 2 kiddos in school, especially one in Kindergarten, and also running around to soccer practices/games, ballet and Ryan's gym class. Phewww! Here are a couple action shots from Katie's last game. She enjoys it...but hasn't learned to tap into that aggressive side quite yet. :) She'll get there!

(there are boys on the team, I just happened to snap these when there were 3 girls playing.

And so he's not left out...my most recent favorite shot of Ryan at Katie's soccer practice tonight!

If you build it they will come...

to the CONSTRUCTION PARTY!

Ryan has been obsessed with construction vehicles for quite some time. He can spot an "excabator" from a mile away and if there is a bulldozer within a 5 mile radius he can sense it. So...when it came to choosing a party theme I ran with it! I love planning the parties and coming up with the little details but boy do I dislike the execution! So tired! but it was a great day and I think he and his friends had a blast :)

The Decor, Food, and Favors
- Hard Hats with (very large...oops) safety vests for favors!
- Caution tape for decorations
- Construction type signs for food labels and play areas
- Food was construction themed
- Construction Vehicles as decor
- Banners, Cupcake Toppers, Invitations, Water Bottle Labels all done by the wonderfully talented Oh My Gluestick!

One of the play areas was "Hammer Time." Hammering golf tees into styrofoam. A hit!

"Dig In" to the sand pit! Plenty of construction vehicles in this play area!

Ryan spent most of his time at the "Jackhammer Jump" with all the boys being a little too rough ;) But, Jackson and Ryan took a little time out to do Cheers!

There was a "Say Cheese" area. I found this cute photo prop that was perfect!

Walking the beam!

So many good friends :)

Cupcakes by Grandma of course! Happy Birthday Ryan!

Thank you everyone who made Ryan's day so special. We are blessed to have you in our lives!!!

Birthday Dinner

When asked what he wanted for his birthday dinner Ryan was very clear he wanted Pizza! Who's going to argue with that??? We went to our favorite place (because they have Gluten Free pizza) and had a good time. Grandma and Grandpa joined us too!

Then home to PRESENTS and CAKE!!!! Poor kid had to wait all the way until the evening!

It's his party...

and he cried cuz he wanted too...

Somebody didn't quite know how to handle a)mommy in his classroom in the middle of the day b) the attention on him. But his class enoyed their cookies and juice!

His sister however was beyond excited to frost the birthday cake :D

Oh Gee, Can It Be?

My sweet baby Ryan, has now turned 3!!!! You have grown so much in the last year....literally!!! You are so tall and skinny! You are also so smart...you know your colors, your ABC's and can recognize quite a few letters. You LOVE construction vehicles...especially "excabators" but really you love anything that is a vehicle. Planes, trains, trucks, cars, rockets are all your favorites. You are a pretty picky eater but your favorites are pasta, pizza, blueberries and goldfish. The lastest, biggest, hugest deal is that you are well on your way to being potty trained. Ok...that might be a bigger deal for mommy. :) But, you are almost there and I'm so proud of you! You bring so much joy to my life. I can't wait to see what the next year holds!

Rush Soccer!

Today Katie had her first soccer game! We decided to try Rush (the local youth soccer league) this time. The craziness of all the fields and little soccer players definitely brought back some memories of my soccer days! Katie did great! She even scored a goal...for the other team. Ooops! Oh well...she'll get the hang of it and she still isn't feeling 100% after having her adenoids out on Wednesday. Here's to a great soccer season and that we all survive!!
