Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Katie's Grandma and Grandpa came out from CA this past weekend and oh boy was she in heaven...

There were picnics and playtime in the park...


Storytimes at night...


Monkeys jumping on beds...


And lots...and lots of pillow fights, which is Katie newest favorite pastime...



And just plain looking cute playing in a beautiful blanket that a friend of mom's made just for Katie!

Welcome to the World!

We would just like to send a big HAPPY BIRTH-DAY to Brylynn Leigh! Katie's bestest bud Andon is now a big brother! We can't wait to meet you sweet girl!

Tree Tops Are Falling On Our Heads....

Yup that's right....we have the worst luck ever. A tree fell on our house this morning. NICE! What a mess...

Ta Da!

That's right...Katie's gonna be a big sister! Mama's just over 11 weeks pregnant and due September 23rd. All is going well and after I freaked when they couldn't find the heartbeat yesterday, they snuck me in to have a peak via ultrasound and the baby blob was bouncing away with a good strong heartbeat! It was just being stubborn like its Daddy. ;-D

Anyway, I look forward to keeping you updated on Katie's path to sisterhood. She has no clue what's going to happen to her in 6 months....and as a matter of fact, her mama's not too sure about how to handle it all either! Live, love and learn I suppose. :D

Shhhhhh.....

Although my mom's the worst secret keeper ever and she's already blabbed it to almost everyone!

Spring is Springing!

I needed to run by the Mercer Arboretum to check up on it since I have a session there on Saturday. It wasn't looking so hot in January, but I suppose that is to be expected for winter. Spring is definitely showing its beautiful self out there now! They were hard at work planting and weeding. I can't wait to have some sessions out there. It's going to be beautiful.

And if some of you Houstonians are looking for a place for your kiddos to explore this place is great. Katie LOVES it...she loves looking for different colored flowers, turtles, fish and especially butterflies.

Katie was a less than willing subject (since there was so much to explore) and we were in full sun so I'm well aware that there are MANY issues with these, but they are the best I got....hmmph.

The Zoo!

We went to the zoo on Saturday with Keith's family and had lots of fun! Katie really enjoys the zoo at this age although she definitely has her favorites.

The fish are always a hit...especially when she finds Nemo and Dory! The first pic is of Julie and Katie...awwww
