CA Road Trip 2012 - Part 6!

This one's short and sweet...partly because by the time we got to the Safari park we were exhausted and animaled out! But we had a great time...beautiful park and it was nice to just walk and take it all in!

Meet the Teacher - First Grade Here We Come!

I still have one more set of pictures from our trip but life has just crazy lately. I did want to share a few from Katie's meet the teacher last night! Can't believe my baby's in first grade. She's excited to have her own desk. Last year they had tables. They got a new pencil to sharpen and a paper to fill out. Excited to see what this new year holds!

CA Road Trip 2012 - Part 5!

Our main reason for going to San Diego was to spend time with Keith's family and specifically his Grandma. She and much of the family hadn't met the kids so it was so great to spend time together. We also celebrated Grandpa K's birthday while we were there.

CA Road Trip 2012 - Part 4!

San Diego!!

We spent a wonderful week and a half in Northern CA and got back in the car and drove down to San Diego to meet up with Keith's family. First on the agenda....The San Diego Zoo! I couldn't believe how big it was. Everyone loved it!





The next day it was off to Sea World. The kids had REALLY been looking forward to this! We got there first thing and watched the dolphins playing but sadly none came quite close enough to touch. We squeezed in as many shows as we could and left the park to celebrate Grandpa's birthday by taking him to lunch at Seaport Village. Then we took a little snooze at the hotel and returned in the evening for some more Sea World fun! The kids' fav for sure was the Shamu show!

CA Road Trip 2012 - Part 3

We spent a week and a half with my parents and had tons of fun! My parents got the kids a big pool so many hours were spent in there! I'm not sure how I missed a picture of it...must all be on my phone. They love it! It was REALLY hot that first week so we got out of the valley and headed to San Francisco! We cruised Pier 39, took a bay cruise and ate some seafood. Perfect day!



A friend of mine from high school just happens to live very close to my parents new house so we went over to the "farm" for some good old country fun! A huge slip and slide, 4 wheeler, creek, dog...doesn't get much better than that! :D


We just HAD to visit our pals the Seloses who recently moved back to CA from TX. The kids had fun playing together again like old times!


One thing we HAD to do while there was go on Grandpa's boat! He's had it for a long time now and this was the first time I have seen it! Quite impressive and FUN! Ryan especially had a blast jumping into the murky Delta water. Katie not so much ;) Thanks Grandpa!



Finally, we headed to Grass Valley to visit my grandparents. The kids always have a great time with their second cousins!

CA Road Trip 2012 - Part 2

From Las Vegas we drove straight to the cabin in the Sierra's where we met my parents and my mom's side of the family. It was so much fun to spend time together. After 3 days in the car it was the perfect place for the kids to get their energy out!
