It's Bluebonnet Time!

The other day we took the cousins out for what is becoming an annual bluebonnet picture!  :)

We had a great time at Disneyland for Spring Break! Crowded, but not too crowded. GORGEOUS weather! Couldn't have asked for more :)

The Cowboy and the Baker

Yesterday was Ryan's "Go Texan" Day at school so we raided the dress up box and came up with a cross between woody and jessie ;) He's so stinkin' cute!

For Katie this week has been all about Dr. Seuss! Tuesday they wore crazy socks for the book Fox in Sox. Wednesday was about the book Wacky Wednesday and they got to wear their shirts backwards or inside out and their schedule for the day was backwards. Thursday was about the book If I Ran the Zoo so it was all about animal print clothes! Finally today was Oh The Places YOu Will Go so they got to dress up like what they want to be when they grow up. Katie loves the show Cake Boss so I wasn't suprised when she wanted to be a cake and cookie baker ;)

A Cowgirl and Her Pony

I completely forgot to post the pictures of Katie on her "Go Texan" day and her pony parade! Kindergarteners get to make home made sock ponies for a fun pony parade. They were so cute! They were also actually very easy to make! That morning they also had a cowboy breakfast and told Tall Tales around the campfire. :)

Girl Scouts 100th Birthday

Last weekend we went to the Girls Scouts' 100th Birthday celebration for our area. The girls got to do some crafts, bed roll races, cookie walk and much more. The big event of the day was fishing so Daddy, Grandpa and Grandma came out to fish with Katie. Well, many of the little girls in our troop wanted to fish too so they joined us. Grandpa was sure great with all of them! We had a great time.

Today was Katie's Fun Run at school. Of course it just had to be the warmest day of the year so far. Thank you everyone who supported Katie and her school!


Going to sneak this one in too. The other day all of the Girl Scouts past and present at Katie's school (including teachers and the principal!) got together and took a picture in honor of the 100th Year of Girl Scouts. There were over 100 people! Here's on of Katie showing the fun mask I made for the "goofy" picture.


Back on the running note....tomorrow I'm going to attempt my first Half Marathon. Right now I'm not quite sure what I was thinking!!!! Prayers for a safe, successful run would be appreciated!

Wedding Weekend!

This past weekend my beautiful, sweet sister in law got married! Welcome Daniel to this crazy Kirkendall family! I am so incredibly happy for them and wish them such a happy, blessed future.

Gotta tell you...other than the bride of course I think Katie was the star of the show on the dance floor. She danced the night away and had a blast! Everyone love her!
