Mommy was watering the plants this morning, well half the plants this morning before the hose was hijacked by a water loving munchkin.

We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa K. today and Aunt Julie was there too! Katie has a table set up there that belonged to Grandma K. when she was a little girl and Keith and his sisters used it as well when they were kiddos. Now Katie gets to enjoy it too! Also those toys she's playing with were also from when her Daddy and Aunties were kids as well.

Mommy's Day Pool Fun

So right before we head to my Mommy's Day dinner Katie wants to go outside and play...so I go out with her for a couple of minutes. I'm picking weeds out of the flower bed while she plays forgetting the the kiddie pool was still full of water. How could a toddler resist???....and why should we take off our clothes? That's no fun! Needless to say it took quite awhile to convince her to get out....but eventually she did, 10 lb, sagging to the ground diaper and all. :-)

I couldn't resist taking pics with the cool way the light and the blue/green of the pool caught her eyes. And, she really was having fun although she looks ultra serious...she was just watching the dog and it just happened to be the only time she would sit still!

Happy Mother's Day to me!

Katie cooperated and gave me a wonderful early Mother's Day gift today.

Katie loves her pals Andon and Jackson. :-) They had fun playing in the kiddie pool yesterday at playgroup! It's so funny to watch kids this age interact...or not interact. They sort of play around each other oblivious that there is another kid there. Then sometimes they bump into each other or something and it's like "Hey! Where the heck did you come from??" Too funny...

I hope to do this every now and then and post some pictures from the same time last year. Makes you REALLY see how much the Smoosh has grown! Ok here's Katie in all her chubbiness! Look at those cheeks!
