Fall Fest 2012!

Last night Katie's school has their Fall Festival! Now Katie's school has 1200 students...say 2/3 come...that's 800 + parents and siblings and grandparents and it equals mad house craziness. But, it's fun for the kids!




Also need to sneak this one in...the sad lone picture I've taken of Katie this soccer season. I'm coaching her team which makes it really hard to take pictures! So sad!

It's October!

And that means we break out the fall decorations and do our best to pretend it FEELS like Fall! Actually on Monday it DID feel like fall with chilly temps. My mom's group had their fall festival that day as well and it got us in the mood! Ryan was supposed to wear his spiderman outfit but at the last minute opted for his new shark sweatshirt ;)


Then his buddy Jackson showed up in his super cool Power Ranger costume and Ryan decided it was time for Spiderman to make an appearance. There were some serious muscles going on!


The kids had a sack race...according to Ryan spiders just really aren't good at hopping. Power Rangers however are... ;)

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Katie's school holds monthly "Spotlight Ceremonies" which spotlight a character trait which has been focused on at the school. A student from each class that best exemplifies that trait is nominated to receive the Spotlight Award. Last year Katie was quite devastated she did not receive one and was super excited that her teacher chose her for the very first spotlight of the year on RESPECT. I am so glad to hear she is respectful at school...now we need to work on at home ;) Anyway...here's my baby getting her reward. So proud!

The Big 4!

My baby turned 4!!! How on earth???





He woke up to lots of presents, a tub full of cheese balls and chocolate chip pancakes :)


He had so much fun at his birthday party at Little Gym! Rocket Themed!






What an amazing little boy I have. He is SO smart and sweet and still his own crazy little person. Happy 4th Birthday Ryan!

CA Road Trip 2012 - Part 7

Boy oh boy...where did the time go??? Totally dropped the ball on finishing up our road trip pictures. Life just got crazy and then it got really crazy! So here we go...

The beach! We were able to hit the beach twice! Katie LOVED jumping the waves and pretty much stayed in the water for hours both days. Ryan thought it was ok but loved building sand castles more than the water. One of the days some girls on the beach had found a crab. They were getting ready to leave and asked Katie if she wanted it. Super cool!






On our way home from the beach we took a drive to the top of Mt. Soledad...breathtaking!



I stuck a cool picture of the kids in front of a giant cactus in the middle of the desert on a lunch stop ;)

Ryan's First Day of 3's!

My buddy started school today! He wasn't sure about going in the classroom...hid behind me and covered his face with his shirt and wouldn't say hi to his teachers, but then out of the corner of his eye he spyed a table with hammers and golf tees and he was good. :D He has one of the teachers Katie had at this age level which really takes me back!


And because she loves the spotlight...one of Katie on her first day of dance last week :)
