A "Big Day"

Katie's latest thing is asking if we are going to have a "big day." Only doing one activity in a day is not considered big. Big I think is multiple things that leave you totally exhaused! Sunday was a BIG DAY!

First off was a 2 1/2 hour drive to Grass Valley to celebrate my Grandma Todd's birthday. We had a great time visiting with family. Katie always LOVES to see her cousin Emma (actually my cousin's daughter). They are only a few days apart in age and always have fun and play so well together.

Thank goodness someone thought of a Kiddie Pool! It was 103 that day and the party was outside mostly!

Playing some "Dinosaur Game" with Emma and Eric...Katie's favorite at the moment.

The Birthday Girl!

The Party Peeps

The little princesses :)

Then we stopped by my other Grandma's house to say hello!

On the way home we stopped by my Aunt Judy's house to feed the horses. Always a favorite for Katie!

What a great Big Day!

Fountain Fun

Yeserday we met some friends at a splash pad. Why on earth don't they have one of these in The Woodlands? I mean we have our little Market Street one but this was way better. Picnic tables and water toys...way cool!

It took Katie a couple minues but eventually she got out there and loved it!

There was no way Ryan was sitting on the sidelines!

Sister kept a very close eye on her little brother...he had his own little secret service agent :P

Who must have been on her 5 minute break at this point...aye yi yi!

Oh I see...the horse gun came available and she left her little brother to fend for himself!

Our pals Wyatt and Ayden :)

Da Boys

Yesterday we had a great time with Megan, Jerah and Job at the park for some rough and tumble fun!

We met these pals way back when they looked like this...

And now they look like this! Amazing!

We had a great time!

Somehow Megan always gets dogpiled on!

Thanks for a great afternoon guys!

Our First Few Days in CA

We arrived in CA on Saturday and have been trying to get into a routine ever since. The kiddos still seem to be on TX time, but a dark sheet over Katie's window has seemed to help her at least. Ryan, well...we all know about Ryan and his sleeping. :P

But we are having a good time! So far it's just been hanging around the house and visiting friends. Next week we head to our cabin for a few days.

Here we are on he plane! Grandpa was a life saver!

Who needs expensive toys when you have a coffee cup?

The day we flew in was Grandpa Gary's birthday but we celebrated it on Sunday along with Father's Day!

Sloughhouse corn and Swingles Chicken....YUM!

The lovely cake! I hope this doesn't end up on Cake Wrecks! :P

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Monday we met some friends for playtime, lunch and more playtime! I missed getting a picture of Wyatt, but here's Ayden and Katie taking a chilly swim :)

Ryan got to splash around but it was a bit too deep for him. He still wanted in!

Katie waiting on the front porch for Grandma to come home from work. She told me that day that "it's very boring around here without Grandma"....gee thanks!
